A surprise opportunity arose to go out to the islands on an evening tide with a group of ‘free swimmers’ - there were seals all around!
A stiff NE wind created choppy waters but we found shelter in a small bay. Then for 30 minutes or more while the swimmers bobbed around among the seals and rock outcrops I sat in the boat drawing. Next time I’ll take a wetsuit!
I remember swimming with grey seals in the Scilly Isles 10 years ago so have included some of those drawings.
