cambridge open studios 2007Cambridge Open Studios is a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation run for the benefit of its members.  A lot of its subscriptions goes towards its aims - promoting the making of original works of art and craft, and providing an opportunity for the public to become involved in the arts by meeting artists in their studios, seeing their work and how it is produced.  In 2006 there were over 300 artists taking part at over 200 venues throughout the region.

This is the eigth year I have taken part in the COS programme.  Each artist views very differently the opportunities taking part presents - for me it is about showing  work to new and wider audiences, its about communicating with a larger community of fellow artists, and it is about opening up my working space as well as being able to see where other artists work.

But perhaps most importantly of all it enables me to send out a brochure and keep in touch with everyone on my mailing list - almost 1000 people who have contacted me through many different channels over the years.

Visitors to the studio are particularly welcome as part of the Cambridge Open Studios programme, but visitors are also welcome at any other time (by appointment, please). Alternatively, if you would like to go on the mailing list to ocassionally receive information about exhibitions or events elsewhere in the UK and sometimes overseas, then please use the form on the contact pages of this website.  Thank you.
