New Book Illustrations

I'm currently working on a series of black & white illustrations for a new book, and have to do the jacket design as well.  It was a great honour being asked by the author Alastair Fothergill to work with him on the book.  And I had fun meeting with him and the team at his publishers as we went through possibilities for illustrations, sizes and the overall feel of the design.

Each chapter is about an iconic species that Alastair has worked on over many decades as a director and producer of some of the most notable wildlife films on TV made in the last 30+ years - polar bear, wandering albatross, honey bee, giant squid, and more.  Each chapter has four or five small wash drawings and an opening black wash and pencil illustration.
